i am confirming it works on 3.71 m33-3. runs great
nice theme, few bugs but definitly nothing major. get it lol. i like this one best out of all the other xmb’s
this theme is one of the custom xmb themes that’s why it has no ptf file. anyway, check out the site below for instructions on how to install. i’m not quite sure if the installation depends on the version of your psp so you better be careful about it. make sure to follow every steps and back up original files so that if any problems arise after installation, you can re-install it.
hey ive downloaded it but as every one says it dont work…
just wonderin if you need a custom firmware to use these types of themes i dunno!!!
if custom firmware is needed is there a way of adin the 1.50homebrew kernel thing without a pandora battery??
it would help a lot if a reply was possable
i know how it is installed.. its simple well not really!!! over the last few days ive been checkin up on this custom software. i havent done it my psp but its simple enough.
1. you have to buy a new sony psp battery and put a pandora pack on it (tutorials evry where on you tube)
2.after installing the pandora your psp will be reset to 1.50 enabling installations for custom firmware.
3.install a custom firmware 3.40 somit or other (tutorials available)
4. the psp will anable more stuff including these themes!!
as i said i havent done it so i cant go into detail but i said what i know so far
To the guys that had their psp’s bricked, can you tell me what custom firmware you have, i have 3.71 m33-4 and dont want my psp bricked as it will take a bit of time to unbrick it.
Also to the guys that dont know how to install XMB themes go to youtube and find out how to install custom firmware on your psp, then how to access flash0 or whichever to put these xmb themes in. Remember to make a backup of all files in the flash0 folder.
I used this guide and worked without a hitch. You can even use it if you only have one PSP (I had one PSP Fat at Official Firmware 4.00 before, now I have 3.71m33-3 with 1.50 Kernel #2).
Oh, I
d also like to know what firmware you guys who bricked were on, I don’t want this happening to me, you know.
Im using the brand new Dark Alex firmware 4.01, released today. The theme install semi-bricked it, so im going to restore the flash0 folder to fix. If someone comes up with a fix for the theme, I’d love to see it.
Ok… for all those who bricked their psp’s… u didnt “brick” it… its called a semi-brick… u can still fix it, all you have 2 do is access ur recovery menu (i.e. fully shut down the psp and hold R while turning it on). I have CFW 4.01 and wasnt paying attention to what firmware you were supposed to have(3.71) so i bricked mine as well; HOWEVER, there is a cure to put this theme on your psp, as long as it is 3.71 or higher. All you have to do is go to your module folder on the PSP(flash0:/VSH/Module… make sure you can see hidden folders and for ppl running Vista in the view folder options, make sure you can see system files; should be about 3-5 boxes below show hidden folders) and replace your ORIGINAL files into that folder… Hopefully you have backups, if not look up your firmwares files…
Once you have replaced the files, you should be able to boot your psp. Once you do that, you will see that the title bar is actually near the top of the psp screen… but at least your not semi-bricked anymore. The reason you got the brick is because you have a different firmware than the required one, and wen you replaced the module folder, you overwrote the file vshmain.prx and that is like the table of contents of wat you see when you turn on your psp.
For everyone who does not have CFW on your psp’s, I suggest you go on Youtube.com and make a pandora battery and Dark_Alex your psp, cause Sony doesnt want you to have full potential of what your psp can do.
luckyly, i’m not scared of bricking up my psp coz here in our country, it only takes you less than 5 $US to unbrick/ update it to the latest version….that’s why i’m into exploring and installing things in my recovery menu. :p
